Congenital partial chest wall defect with extracorporeal intercostal liver herniation

Congenital herniation of the liver through chest wall associated with deformity is an extremely rare clinical observation. There are only a few reports intercostal Poland syndrome, which characterized by hypoplastic unilateral structures. We present case neonate mass drooping defect in left side diaphragmatic eventration. The patient demonstrated left-sided pectoralis musculature and ipsilateral costal cartilage sternum at level fifth to sixth ribs. radiological investigation revealed that was result lobe liver. On day after birth, resection performed laparotomy because color gradually changed dark red appearance, incarceration necrosis were suspected. no intraoperative or postoperative complications. Postoperatively, diaphragm concluded have normal movement on radioscopic examination.
